Sensory activities engage kids–through sight, smell, touch. This helps them learn and keep ideas in a better way. Kids love anything that glows in the dark. In fact, they rush to close all doors and windows, keep it inside the bathroom with all lights turned off so that they can watch it glow.
So let’s make a Glow in the Dark sensory bottle. It’s easy and will just take a few minutes.
What you need:
Water Beads
Transparent Bottle or Jar
Glow Sticks

How to make it:
Put a spoon of water beads into a bottle and fill it with water (the beads will expand to ten times their size within a few hours).
Break the glow sticks and put them inside the bottle.

During the day, put the bottle in light so that it absorbs light.
Just wait for the beads to expand and fill the bottle. Your sensory bottle is ready.
Secure the lid of the bottle tightly and always do this activity under parental supervision as the beads can be a hazard for young kids. Kids will be excited to see the colourful beads glowing in the dark. Ask your child about the different colours that/he can see. Kids add a lot of unfamiliar words to vocabulary when they describe how an object looks, feels, or moves.
