Festivals of India; an opportunity for Kids to Learn different Cultures of India

India is land of many religions, languages and festivals. We celebrate different cultural and religious festivals, while some festivals are celebrated with equal enthusiasm across the country; others have specific regional and religious undertones. Diwali & Dussehra are those festivals which waited for throughout the year and celebrated in across India.

These festivals and the story behind it is the chance to teach your kids about your culture. Our leading preschools are taking this as an opportunity to teach children about the different festivals of India. Here is how they are celebrating festivals at centre:

Aptech Montana : They had organised a Garba Event for kids. It was an exciting, fun-packed event for kids to understand the Navaratri celebration. They taught kids that festivals are the time where friends & family gathers and celebrate together by exchanging gifts, sweets and blessings.

Kara4Kids : Festivals and celebrations help in bringing happiness in little minds. Children learn to develop an emotional bond with their friends and families. The introduction to Mythological stories help them understand their culture and gain knowledge about their rich heritage. They learn to respect each other’s religion / culture and accept the way people are and be happy together. Our methodology of playful learning worked well with the introduction of Dandia and garba. All Kara branches are blossoming with the festive fervor. Kara is also set to launch their new branch at Cunningham road with the fun and festivities taking over at the Kara Karnival at Cunningham Road.

Safari Kid :  They involve kids in different kids activities to teach them about the festivals. They had organized Dhandiya Dance for kids at some of the centres to teach them a hue of Dussehera or Navaratri celebration. They have planned a Diwali Dhamaka event which isa great family evening planned filled with fun activities, games, food and much more. Dress up in traditional wear and activities like make a Diwali card or paint a Diya or get creative with Rangoli & Toran making. This is such an great opportunity for your child to learn the festival celebration.

Vallores : Every fun-filled cultural workshop or celebration at Vallores is to celebrate the festive spirit which helps in, instilling a sense of purpose and responsibility. We let them move beyond traditional and scripted methods by Stimulating learning with engaging hands-on activities, dramatic play and creative frameworks at Vallores. Inculcating strong moral values, making the child ethically and environmentally aware. The school follows the value-based education approach creating a strong learning environment that enhances academic achievement and develops students’ social and relationship skills that last throughout their lives.

Vivero : As festive season is here! The air is abuzz with excitement. New clothes to be bought; house to be dusted off; preparations to be done for all the yummy sweets and snacks; and of course gifts to be purchased for family and friends! They had celebrated an event named “Nam’ Ooru Habba” which is traditional way of celebrating Dussehra in South India. It was a fun-filled event with kids, families and friends at this event.
