KLAY provides an environment where your child can be his/her own person, feels at home, is safe and secure and has enough avenues to explore. We have well trained teachers who provide a structure for your child to work in and are children with them to spur their curiosity. KLAY is spread across cities – Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida.
Tell us about the leadership at KLAY
Priya Krishnan is the CEO of one of the largest and most trustworthy prep school and daycare brands in India, KLAY & The Little Company. She is a business graduate from London Business School and has worked in various leadership positions with companies like Anderson Consulting, PWC and Mphasis before moving to India from the UK. Her decision to give up such a lucrative job was driven by her passion to make a difference in the educational sector along with her desire to resolve the limitations of existing daycare centres in India.
Tell us about the Daycare
Priya says, “When I was studying at London Business School, I had a 9 month old child and I was able to study, work and bring my child up because I had access to high quality care while I was studying there. I knew I wanted to come back to India, work with children and help women like myself go back to work. It all came together when there was an opportunity to set that up in India and help companies focus more on bringing women back into the workforce.”
“Traditionally in India, childcare has been taken care of by grandparents, a maid or at a crèche – a place where children eat, sleep and spend time when their parents are at work. A child should not lose out on the fact that the mother is not at home. So, we created KLAY as a structured environment with a curriculum which the children follow during the day.”
