How can we express our gratitude to someone who has given so much of their time and energy to paying attention to our child’s growth and education? As parents, we will always be indebted to our childcare provider and their team for their support in our parenting journey.
The caring hands of caretakes & didis carve the future of our children. They are the ones who are all ready to hold them when they fall on their first walk…they are the one who help him hold that pencil for the first time..they love, care & nurture our little ones, who are so precious to us.
In a society where increasingly both parents are working outside the home, the need for quality childcare is growing at a rapid pace. All parents want only the best for their children especially when it comes to child care. Since it is widely acknowledged that the first five years of a child’s life are the most important of their formative years, parents of toddlers feel a greater urgency to find that right environment for their children. Each crèche has a different environment & it’s the staff who maintains a healthy and secure environment. Ipsaa is one such chain of daycares where the staff / didis are second moms to the kids. #NolessaMom
Let’s pay tribute to these second moms & know their inside story!
IPSAA Silokhra center; Recently had a little incident when a child of joy group in the center was unwell. He was continuously crying. The team repeatedly called his mother but she was busy in a meeting hence unable to take the call and when she called back she said that she will take time to reach the centre. The concerned mentor Priya skipped her lunch to settle the child and fed him and put him to sleep. She had her lunch at 4 in the evening with the child still in her lap. Thats not all, one of the Didi’s of this centre, takes a lot of initiative in doing things. She sometimes works continuously till evening without even having tea and also sometimes takes her lunch back home coz she is busy playing with kids.
Mentor Poonam at IPSAA Sector 50 recently took care of an unsettled child Nivritii Jaiswal by taking her to the play area and pet corner. She took her to one of the classes where all the toys and puzzles were kept and asked the parent to leave. The child got settled in 2 days and now refuses to leave Poonam mentor’s hand when in the centre. Aktara didi is also quite active in settling children. One unsettled child named Vihaan Mathur comes crying to the centre but on the sight of Aktara didi holds her hand and calmly walks in.
Ibbadat Gauri is at IPSAA Sector 51 since she was six months and now she is one year plus. She is very attached to Mentor mom Seema Negi and Anju didi. She is so attached that she cries at the sight of Anju didi going out of the class for any other work especially if it involves picking any other child. She refuses to have food from anyone else but Anju didi and Seema Negi. Even in the evening when parents come to pick her she refuses to go with them . It’s the emotional attachment of children with mentor moms and the didi that brings to live the core values of IPSAA
And some of these core values are validated by IPSAA’s Parents and the kids themselves —
Every morning when Viraj looks at his mentor Shivanjali from IPSAA DLF Phase V, he has a sparkle in his eyes. He happily comes to her, holds her hand and plays and sings with her. Both of them have a lot to share. The unconditional love makes his mentor even more committed to her role as a loving caregiver to all the little cherubs under her care. In addition to this, Shivanjali ma’am was elated when Viraj’s father told her “we want to get a mask of Shivanjali ma’am so that we have a very happy and content child at home as well!”
That moment when the children know you leave early! Ridit Luthra in IPSAA Sector 57 tells his mentor Shivanjali ” Ma’am I’m going to sleep but when I get up, aap jana nahi ”
At their newly opened Baner, Pune center Ayaan is very fond of Kavita didi he never wants to leave didi (even if didi has other work like kitchen/ cleaning) then also he runs & asks her to grab him. Even while having meal he wants Kavita didi to feed him.
Happy Mother’s Day to the entire team of IPSAA teachers & staff.
